Introduction The following report will investigate, analyse and formulate recommendations for improving the tools and methods that a business has put in place to help reduce waste and time in the operation management department of the business. This report will focus on the business, McDonaldââ¬â¢s and what practices they have put in place to ensure that they are producing their products efficiently and sustainably. The business will also be compared and contrasted alongside the American fast-food restaurant chain famous for its fried chicken, providing recommendations on how McDonaldââ¬â¢s could further improve their business in the area of waste and time management. Operational Systems The operations systems is a series of procedures and processes that an organisation manages in order to create outputs of finished goods and services.
